The Chateau Lafayette came out of a full renovation in 2019 and it shows. Fifty-six rooms, twenty-three of them suites, and the best of those have a jacuzzi in the room. There is a lift serving every deck, which matters if stairs are hard work. On the sundeck a pool, a jacuzzi and a bar; below, a spa, a non-smoking dining room, a lounge bar with live shows and a small cinema. It sails the classic route between Luxor and Aswan, three nights, four nights, or the full week without changing ship.

Prices are quoted in US dollars, per person, for the whole cruise, not per night. A cabin sleeps two. Taxes are included in the figure shown.
A quarter of the total confirms the cabin in your name. The balance is due on your first day in Egypt, in cash or by card. Card payments carry a 3% surcharge.
A child travelling free shares the parents’ cabin and does not get a separate bed. Tell us the ages when you enquire and we will price it exactly.

If your plans change you can move your dates instead, free of charge more than 30 days before sailing and subject to availability. Peak periods and some departures carry different terms; your booking confirmation is what applies. No cancellation fee is charged for events outside anyone’s control, such as war, strike, epidemic or a sudden change in the law.
