FAQ

Is this really suitable for young children?

Yes, and the shape of it is why. The two heaviest sightseeing days are broken up by three nights on the ship, where children can swim and eat between temples, and then three days at the sea with nothing booked at all. Under sixes travel free, six to elevens pay half.

What is there for the children to do in Hurghada?

The hotel beach and pool, and all meals included so nobody has to negotiate lunch. If you want more, we can arrange snorkelling on the reefs, a boat trip out to the islands or a desert safari, each paid separately.

Why are there two prices?

Egypt has a hot low season, from the middle of May to the middle of September, and prices drop a long way. If your dates are flexible and you can bear the heat, travelling in the low season saves a family a great deal.

Do I need a visa?

Yes. Most nationalities need an Egyptian entry visa and it is not part of the package. You can buy one on arrival at Cairo airport or apply online beforehand. We will tell you which applies to your passport when you book.

How long is the drive to Hurghada?

About four hours from Luxor, in a private air conditioned car, with a coffee stop. It is the only long drive in the itinerary, and it is included.

Can the itinerary be changed?

Yes. More nights at the sea, fewer temples, a different hotel, Abu Simbel added. Tell us who is travelling and what they would enjoy and we will rework it.
